Bumper was born blind and deaf, but from the start he was curious, determined, and eager to explore. He learned about the world through scent, touch, memory, and trust. His life has never been about what he cannot do, but about discovering his own way of doing things.

Mulligan came into Bumper’s life as a tiny stray kitten, and the two quickly became inseparable. They play, relax, explore, and head out on adventures together. Whether they are at home or hiking a trail, their friendship is built on curiosity, companionship, and a shared enthusiasm for living the best life!

Bumper is just like any other dog. He wants adventure, friendship, snacks, play, comfort, and a place to belong. He lives near Owen Sound, Ontario, with his humans Amy, Matt, and Faeron, along with Bruno the African grey parrot and his best buddy, Mulligan the cat. Bumper loves car rides, swimming, hiking, and playing with friends. His remarkable true story inspired the children’s book Bumper: No Sight! No Sound! No Problem!, including the unforgettable time he helped his family find their way on a hike after darkness fell.
